Standing in front of a mirror
Moments before your walk down the aisle
Holding your bridal bouquet.
Veil placed to perfection
Nobody else is in the room
( maybe your mother behind you to witness )
There is a knock on the door
In walks your Daddy.
Tears rolling down his face
All of your childhood memories
flash before his eyes
Catching his breathe he whispers
“Wow, Don’t You Look Beautiful”
Mom behind you watching the two of you
Her heart exploding with immense joy!
Cue the ‘ MUA ‘ (Make Up Artist) for touch ups!
The Groom:
The part of the day has finally come
For Photography to start
All of your groomsmen clear the room
You are the only left waiting
Corsage in hand,
Ready to be put on mom’s left wrist.
There is a knock on the door,
While tons of memories of her little boy
Flood her head, and stream down her face …
She walks in to see the young man before her
And says, “You are so handsome my son!”
Cue Everyone In The Room
Nervously Looking Around for tissues
There is not a dry eye in either
Of these “ I Loved You First “ moments
